2012 ASA Nationals/ Open Category Report

Finally!

The 2012 ASA National Championships held at Towson University featured 15 players in the Open category. The venue of the University Chesapeake Room was again used, after unanimously favorable player reviews from the 2011 edition.

The Open was split into 4 groups, with the top seeds being; Daniel Cranston (reigning champion), Paul Eyes (2011 runner up), Michael Tillman (2010 runner up), and Stuart Russell.

Andrea Gasparini continues his triumphal world tour. After a massive warm-up in Hong Kong with countryman and local Antonio Carabillo, Gasparini wins the FISTF International Open in Yokohama, Japan!

Another successful Holiday Silver in Maryland



Conturso Victorious in 2011 Holiday Silver

Dec 4th saw the traditional playing of the Holiday Silver in Ellicott City, Maryland. A total of 35 players competed on the day. With 9 players in the Open section, an impressive 12 players in the U19, and 14 players in the U15.
